L'aplicació d'un programa d'arqueologia urbana: la delimitació del períbol del Temple Romà de Vic

Abstract

[cat]Article que presenta els resultats de l'excavació al C. Pare Xifré, situat entre el temple romà i la casa Masferrer, realitzada dins el context del Programa de Recerques Arqueològiques de la ciutat de Vic (PRAV). Aquesta intervenció va permetre posar al descobert el traçat de l"antic mur de tancament (períbol) del temenos o recinte sagrat del temple, així com corroborar que aquest fou construït simultàniament al temple.

[eng] An article that represents the results of the excavation in Carrer Pare Xifré, located between the Roman temple and Casa Masferrer, undertaken within the context of the Archaeological Research programme of the city of Vic (PRAV). This intervention enabled the discovery of the layout of the old enclosure wall (peribolus) of the temenos or sacred enclosure of the temple, as well as corroborating that it was built at the same time as the temple itself.
