Las presiones estéticas en las mujeres: la estigmatización de la mujer curvy

Abstract

(cast) Esta investigación pretende analizar las presiones estéticas en las mujeres, concretando en el caso de las mujeres curvy. Estas mujeres son aquellas que no alcanzan los ideales de peso y talla que se establece por la sociedad y que en los últimos años se han ido organizando para reivindicar su presencia en ámbitos donde estaban invisibilizadas, comenzando esta reivindicación en Redes Sociales. De modo que los objetivos de la misma son, por un lado, analizar la estigmatización que sufre dicho colectivo en forma de discriminación y rechazo real (gordofobia), y por otro lado, determinar los ámbitos donde se puede producir esta discriminación.

(eng) This research aims to analyze the aesthetic pressures on women, concretely in the case of curvy women. These women are those who do not reach the ideals of weight and size that is established by society and that in recent years have been organized to vindicate their presence in areas where they were invisible, beginning this revindication in Social Networks. So that the objectives are, on the one hand, to analyze the stigmatization that this collective suffers in the form of discrimination and real rejection (anti-fat attitudes), and on the other hand, to determine the areas where this discrimination can take place.
