Resum

This project was developed to study the technical and economic viability of a self-consumption installation. The project has been carried out in a building, located in El Vendrell, Tarragona. First of all, it was determined the available surface for the placement of the photovoltaic modules, being the total area in the roof 95 m². The installation is made up of three strings with a total power of 14,74kWp. Secondly, it has been calculated all the electrical protections as stated in the REBT and also the annual energy production, which is 20.169, 39 kWh. Thirdly, it has been studied the global consumption of the building and the daily consumption curve. The overall consumption of the building is 71.303 kWh, and this energy cost 15.052,72€. After analyzing the daily consumption curve, the building consumes all the energy generated and it covers the 28,3 % of the total consumption. For that reason the administrative procedures for this type of installation were explained. Finally, the economic analysis was carried out. The total investment is 22.314,13 € and the savings obtained is 3.698,72 €/year. From these data, it was calculated a payback period of 6 years, an IRR of 14% at 25 years and a positive NPV of 7.094,83 €, concluding that it is a profitable business.
