Abstract
The Ryu-Takayanagi conjecture proposes a holographic derivation of the entanglement entropy of a conformal field theory (CFT) in the context of the AdS/CFT correspondence. To understand the conjecture, we study the features of Anti-de Sitter (AdS) spacetime and explain the concept of the entanglement entropy for quantum mechanics. Finally, we use the conjecture to compute the entanglement entropy in AdS4 and AdS3, and compare the results with the obtained from CFT
