Total reaction cross section and elastic scattering angular distributions in deuteron-nucleus reactions is studied for nuclei in the mass range A = 9-209 and deuteron with incident energies from 12 up to 200 MeV, using a global parametrization optical model potential. The theoretical results are compared with the experimental data to verify the goodness of the model
