This essay treats the evolution of Anthropology in Catalonia, and specifically that of the University of Barcelona. Many of the aspects concerning Anthro- pological evolution in Catalonia are, of course, all parallel to everywhere else. But both the people and the circumstances are different and that is what this paper points out, as well as discussing the evolution of Anthropology.
