[spa] “Prestar y Deber” es una investigación que explora el conjunto de procesos que surgen en las relaciones de deuda en personas con ingresos bajos y sus distintos acreedores. El capítulo de contexto, comprende las normatividades relacionadas con el crédito en Colombia y los rasgos de Palmira –epicentro de la investigación–. Además de referenciar los conceptos teóricos que guiaron la recolección y el análisis del material etnográfico; se incluyen capítulos que muestra las experiencias, prácticas y dinámicas de los deudores y acreedores. Finalmente, se presentan las conclusiones de la investigación.
[eng] "Lending and Owing" is a study that explores the processes arising in debt relationships among individuals with low incomes and their various creditors. The contextual chapter covers regulations related to credit in Colombia and features of Palmira – the focal point of the research. In addition to referencing theoretical concepts guiding ethnographic data collection and analysis, there are chapters depicting the experiences, practices, and dynamics of debtors and creditors. Finally, the research concludes with some findings.
