La Jamància (1843). L'alternativa revolucionària del progressisme barceloní

[cat] El present article és una aproximació a la naturalesa políticament
revolucionària de la Jamància, l’aixecament progressista radical que tingué
lloc a Barcelona entre el setembre i el novembre de 1843 i que clou la Revolució
Liberal. El progressisme barceloní capitanejà un projecte radical basat
un insurreccionalisme diferenciat del progressisme institucional, al qual
desafià durant els mesos que durà la revolta. Per fer-ho, l’article presenta
dos elements fonamentals que mostren la naturalesa revolucionària de la
revolta i que conformaven la identitat del progressisme radical barceloní:
la repressió d’aquest per les autoritats militars i la ruptura política encarnada
per la noció de junta central.
[eng] This paper deals with the politically revolutionary nature of la Jamància, the radical progressive uprising that took place in Barcelona in September - November 1843 that ended with the Liberal Revolution. Barcelona progressivism put forth a radical revolutionary project different from that of governmental progressivism, which was consequently challenged during the rebellion. The paper presents two key elements that show the revolutionary nature of la Jamància and which shaped the identity of Barcelona’s radical progressivism: its repression by the military authorities, and the political break embodied by the notion of Junta Central.
