dc.description.abstractThe adiabatic theorem is exposed and illustrated with an example. Concerning nonadiabatic processes, two different proofs of the Landau-Zener (LZ) formula are studied, and an analogue to the formula is provided for a specific 3 × 3 case. Lastly, an approximate bound to nonstandard interaction (NSI) coefficients of solar neutrino oscillations is derived from the LZ formula.ca
