Abstract
We study the ground state phases of the one-dimensional Bose-Hubbard model. To do so, we employ the infinite time evolving block decimation (iTEBD) method, a tensor network based algorithm, which enables us to obtain a good approximation of the ground state of an infinite one-dimensional lattice. This method allows us to characterize the different phases and the transition between them
