The choice of this project was motivated by the union of two passions, information engineering and climbing, both of them completely different character. The project has a target completely innovative and ability to reach the entire community of climbers who practise indoor climbing. This community has been increasing for the last 15 years and now results a new market to be exploited. The main objective of the project is to bring a traditional old sport to a new and present platform as a mobile application. This application has an intuitive interface which is easy to use and it allows anyone with basic knowledge on how to use a smartphone rune it. To start using the application we only need a phone with Android OS and Internet connection (3G, 4G or WiFi). The result of the project is an application oriented to the users of an indoor rock climbing gym so they can check on the different available climbing routes and score whenever they finish each of them. This score will result in a ranking of users and it will increase competitiveness among them. Concurrently, a light web interface for the fitness centre administrators wash scheduled in order for them to manage this network of sports people.
