Abstract
[en] Visualizing oceanographic datasets has become a great computer problem for the last decades. Specific and expensive applications such as Earth Vision are able to generate volume representations that accurately describes the ocean behaviour. In this work, first we will study the basic theory behind the generation of these
kind of datasets, in order to understand and analyze them with other more general and open source applications like Paraview. For such purpose, we will make use of several interpolation methods, such as the trilinear or the Voronoi interpolation methods among others, allowing us to obtain different volumetrical interpretations of the ocean condition. We will test them comparing their results with the ones obtained by Earth Vision to corroborate their accuracy.
