Abstract

[cat] L'excavació del monestir d'època visigoda de Santa Cecília dels Altimiris, ens ha permès recuperar un seguit de restes d'origen vegetal i animal i uns materials que ens apropen al consum de determinats aliments, tant de l'entorn del lloc com més llunyans. En aquest article definim les característiques mediambientals de la serra del Montsec, lloc on es troba ubicat el jaciment, fem una anàlisi de l'Àrea de Captació de Recursos (ACR) que es defineix al seu entorn i presentem les restes vegetals, animals i materials recuperades en la intervenció arqueològica, en definim la procedència i en valorem el pes dins la dieta. Així mateix posem en relació aquestes troballes amb els costums alimentaris descrits en textos antics i finalment fem una proposta del patró alimentari dels habitants del lloc.
[eng] The archaeological excavation of the Visigothic Monastery of Santa Cecília de Els Altimiris unearthed evidence of plant and animal remains, as well as other materials that throw light on the consumption of certain local and imported foods. This article defines the environment of the Montsec Mountain range, the setting of the Monastery, and presents the results of a Site Catchment Analysis that identifies the regional plant, animal and the other resources in the context of the evidence recovered during the excavation. The study ultimately compares the findings with information from Roman written sources and proposes a pattern of the eating habits of the site's inhabitants.
