[spa] Se presenta, a través del análisis documental de la época, las circunstancias del hallazgo, en 1848, del famoso mosaico de la ciudad romana de Empúries conocido con el nombre del Sacrificio de Ifigenia. Así mismo se analizan las vicisitudes desde el momento de su hallazgo hasta su adquisición en 1974 por la Comisión de Monumentos de Girona.
[eng] The circumstances surrounding discovery in 1848 of the famous mosaic - known as the Sacrifice of lphigenia - in the Roman city of Empúries, is presented through a study of contemporary documentation. The various vicissitudes encountered from the time of its discovery until its acquisition by the Monument Commission of Girona in 1914 are also considered.
