[cat] Article resultat de la comunicació presentada pels autors al XIV Congrés Internacional d'Arqueologia Clàssica, celebrat a Tarragona l'any 1993, que fou publicat en les seves actes. Mitjançant la correlació de les dades obtingudes fins al 1993, gràcies a les diverses excavavions arquelògiques i a la recerca històrica duta a terme fins a leshores, presenta els trets principals de l'antiga Auso romana i la seva evolució cap al nucli medieval posterior.

Through the correlation of data obtained until 1993, thanks to the diverse archaeological digs and the historical research carried out until then, it presents the main aspects of the old Roman Auso and its evolution towards the later medieval centre.
