Abstract
We study the ground state properties of the one-dimensional quantum Ising model and its phase diagram through the lens of quantum information theory concepts. We begin by analysing the area law behaviour of entanglement entropy and its logarithmic violation at the critical point. Next, we introduce the classical-to-quantum correspondence to elucidate the structure of two-point correlation functions. Finally, we characterize the distinct phases of the model via its entanglement spectrum
