PAMTool, Premium Analysis and Monitor Tool

Abstract

[en] Premium, SA is a company dedicated to designing and producing power conversion systems, and this project will be executed. Technology is quickly moving forward, that is a fact. If we talk about Premium, they are not an exception and with the goal to keep their products at the avant-garde of the sector, it is not enough that they comply with they’re function as chargers, inverters, converter, etc. The market demands configurable products, with error management, with the ability to be monitored without the need of specialized tools except a computer. To bring these needs from paper to reality the software team comes into play, firstly the devices need some “intelligence” so they can communicate with the outside world and secondly, a desktop application to manage this communication and all the possibilities they offer. In this project our main contribution to the company will be the desktop application and all its planning, design and development. This application has some requirements specified by the company that it must comply: Available for different operating systems. Only one application for all the company devices, including the ones that use an older and more simple communication protocol. It must have a graphical user interface for the inexperienced users. It must have a command line interface for the advanced user and all the possible automatizations. Even with all the problems found due to the planification, the development of the application can be completed, and it can be found in the enterprise website free for all users.
