Se cita por primera vez en España Valerianella orientalis (Schlecht.) Boiss. & Bal. in Boiss. Esta planta, cuya área de distribución geográfica conocida se extiende por Oriente medio y Grecia oriental, fué recolectada en mayo de 1982 en la provincia de Granada.
