Se presenta la versión inicial en castellano de una taxonomía de estrategias de empoderamiento de la mujer elaborada a partir de una revisión exhaustiva de la literatura científica. La razón de estudiar el empoderamiento femenino es porque vivimos en una sociedad sustentada en un sistema patriarcal donde los roles y posiciones de poder están inherentemente sesgados a favor del hombre, generando una opresión sistémica hacia la mujer. Desde una perspectiva psicosocial, las estrategias de empoderamiento femenino pueden entenderse como un conjunto de procesos cognitivos, afectivos y conductuales a través de los cuales la mujer puede aumentar su autonomía, su capacidad para tomar decisiones significativas y su poder a nivel personal, interpersonal y social. La taxonomía propuesta incluye quince estrategias clasificadas en tres categorías. Para cada una de las estrategias se proporciona una denominación y una definición
The initial English version of a taxonomy of women's empowerment strategies is presented, derived from a comprehensive review of scientific literature. The reason for studying female empowerment is because we live in a society built on a patriarchal system where roles and positions of power are inherently biased in favor of men, generating a systemic oppression of women. From a psychosocial perspective, female empowerment strategies can be understood as a set of cognitive, affective, and behavioral processes which enable women to increase their autonomy, their capacity to make significant decisions and their power at the personal, interpersonal, and social levels. The proposed taxonomy includes fifteen strategies categorized into three categories. Each strategy is accompanied by a denomination and a definition.
