Ionizing radiations and radioactive isotopes are frequently used in medicine for either diagnosis or treatment purposes. In both cases it is highly relevant to be aware of the dose that can be received by the patients as well as for the public and the workers who carry out such labors and how to protect them as much as possible following the corresponding legislation. To make the hospital become a risk-free place involving such radiation, protection measures must be applied: from individual protection protocols to shielding of the facilities using ionizing radiation. In this TFG, radiological protection concepts and protocols will be used to design the shielding of the bunker of a linear accelerator located at the Hospital Clíınic de Barcelonaca
