Abstract
[eng] The study of witchcraft persecutions in Catalonia runs parallel to the main European research trends. The editions of documentary sources and the historiographical reflections made in recent decades by both Catalan and foreign scholars now allow us to present an overview of the origins and evolution of this historical phenomenon in the Principality; a territory that can already be considered as one of the earliest and most intense areas of persecution in southern Europe during the 15th-17th centuries.
