Resum
This work is based on some of the ideas defended by behavioral economics, a branch that is gaining more and more strength within this field of social sciences, so dominated by mathematics, and which wants to make us see that the human being is far from resembling the well-known homo economicus scheme. With this study I want to show the intrinsic relationship that exists between psychology and economics, and how the contributions of the former can play a key role in the understanding of human beings within an economic environment. Thus, I try to answer whether people's personal traits, in this case, their way of dealing with problems, plays a determining factor when making investments. For this, a quick test has been carried out to classify the participants as rational or intuitive. Subsequently, the methodology used was to carry out a quantitative study, through the use of an investment simulator, over a period of a month and a half, in order to collect data on the performance of each of the groups. based on the initial classification.
The results of this experiment and the conclusions reached will be presented at the end of
this work.
