Artsoundscapes: explorando la relación entre acústica, sonido y arte rupestre

[spa] El acceso al patrimonio inmaterial sonoro de las sociedades pasadas ha sido históricamente un desafío para la arqueología. El proyecto Artsoundscapes (programa H2020, número de proyecto 787842) ha abordado este reto desde un enfoque multidisciplinar, combinando fundamentos de arqueología, etnografía, ingeniería, neuropsicología, acústica y psicoacústica. La metodología experimental propuesta, basada en la medición de respuestas al impulso espaciales, ha sido diseñada con el objetivo de profundizar en la relación entre acústica, sonido y arte rupestre. En este artículo se presenta un breve resumen de los resultados obtenidos en la gran variedad de sitios estudiados por el proyecto desde su inicio en 2018, localizados en Asia, Europa, América y África. Aunque cada sitio plantea sus propias preguntas de investigación atendiendo a su contexto arqueológico particular, el proyecto Artsoundscapes busca además responder a una cuestión global: ¿existe un patrón que evidencie una clara relación entre acústica y arte rupestre?
[eng] Accessing the intangible sound heritage of past societies has historically been a challenge for archaeology. The Artsoundscapes project (H2020 program, project number 787842) has addressed this challenge from a multidisciplinary approach, combining principles from archaeology, ethnography, engineering, neuropsychology, acoustics, and psychoacoustics. The proposed methodology, based on spatial impulse response measurements, has been designed to explore the relationship between acoustics, sound, and rock art. This article presents a brief overview of the results obtained from the diverse range of rock art sites studied by the project since its inception in 2018, which are located across Asia, Europe, America, and Africa. While each site suggests its own research questions depending on its specic archaeological context, the Artsoundscapes project also seeks to address a broader question: Is there a pattern that evidences a clear relationship between acoustics and rock art?
