Resum
The Centre of Research in Information, Communication and Culture (CRICC) of the University of Barcelona (UB) is a research centre attached to the UB Faculty of Information and Audiovisual Media, which was created in 2017 to bring together the Faculty’s ongoing research activities in the areas of information and documentation, document heritage, cultural studies and audiovisual communication.
In this leaflet, we sum up our objectives and activities. You can find a description of our eight active research areas at the current time, as well as the research staff who are currently members of the centre, a summary of research projects and publications from the last three years (2017-2019) and, finally, information about two products created by the CRICC: the Anuari de Biblioteques, Llibres i Lectura (Yearbook of Libraries, Books and Reading), a biennial publication, and the database MIAR (Matrix of Information for the Analysis of Journals), which includes the description of over 45,000 scientific journals.
The leaflet is therefore designed to be our letter of presentation and is aimed at research centres and research staff in other areas, particularly the social sciences, and researchers from other countries who wish to come and collaborate with us, as well as trainee researchers who are interested in our research areas.
