[spa] En este estudio se analiza el papel de las aves en el yacimiento paleolítico de A Valiña (Castroverde, Lugo), concretamente de los restos recuperados en el nivel IV (31.600 ± 250 BP). Los estudios taxonómico y tafonómico nos indican un conjunto muy diverso, que nos remite a un entorno mixto, con espacios abiertos pero con la presencia de bosque y espacios montanos. El origen de la acumulación es básicamente consecuencia del consumo de pequeños carnívoros, aunque también se detecta alguna actividad humana.
[eng] This paper explores the role of avian resources from the Palaeolithic site of A Valiña (Castroverde, Lugo), specifícally those recovered at leve! IV (31,600 ± 250 BP). The taxonomic and taphonomic analyses evidence a high diverse sample, which attests to the presence ot a mixed environment with open spaces but forests and mountain environments are also interred. The origin ot the assemblage is fundamentally consequence of non-human predator activities, mainly of small carnivores. However, sorne anthropogenic evidences are also detected.

Akumulazio jatorria tamaina txikiko haragijale kontsumoaren ondorioz eman zen, nahiz eta giza jarduera ere antzeman izan da.
