[spa] El franciscano Giovan Battista Visco, nombrado obispo de Tortosa en junio de 1640, se encontraba en Barcelona en los días de la sublevación del Corpus de Sang, acto inicial de la guerra dels Segadors. Su llegada a Tortosa, en septiembre del mismo año, coincidió con la recuperación de la ciudad a la causa lealista tras haber sido perdonada por Felipe IV y recibir el título de «fidelísima y exemplar». A partir de aquel momento, la ciudad de Tortosa fue un centro estratégico para las fuerzas de la monarquía española. El artículo se basa en un análisis del papel de Giovan Battista Visco, procedente del Reino de Nápoles, en el conjunto de la revuelta y bajo diferentes aspectos: el control de las divisiones internas de la élite de Tortosa, la relación con los nobles napolitanos en el ejército de la monarquía hispánica y la introducción del carácter «militante» al culto de la Inmaculada como emblema de la monarquía de España.
[eng] The Franciscan Giovan Battista Visco, appointed bishop of Tortosa in 1640, was in Barcelona in the moment of the uprising of the Corpus de Sang, the initial act of the guerra dels Segadors. His entry into Tortosa, in September of the same year, coincided with the end of the revolt in that city, which was forgiven by Philip IV receiving the title of «fidelísima y exemplar» and from that moment on was a strategic center for the military forces of the Spanish monarchy. The article is based on an analysis of the role of Visco, born in the Kingdom of Naples, in the catalan revolt under different aspects: the control of the internal divisions of the Tortosa elite, the relationship with the Neapolitan soldiers in the Spanish army and the introduction of a «militant» feature of the worship to the Immaculate as an emblem of the Spanish monarchy.
