Abstract
In the present work, a radar-based precipitation climatology (2013-2019 period) is built in order to study changes in precipitation in an area with sharp contrasts in land use. This climatology includes (apart from monthly, seasonal and annual mean) an hourly accumulation study for July and August. The results agree in great measure with the official climatology, apart from some overestimation in certain parts. Inaccuracies possibly as a result of radar beam blocking have been detected. Land use has an apparent effect on high intensity precipitation events in both July and August
