[spa]Se describe la historia personal del migrante español Camilo Pérez y Pérez, quien en el año 1895 decidió establecerse en la República del Paraguay cuando tenía sólo 17 años de edad. En 1914 fue nombrado delegado de la Casa de América de Barcelona, la entidad inaugurada en abril de 1911 para reorganizar los vínculos españoles con sus antiguas colonias americanas. La documentación se conserva en la Biblioteca del Pabellón de la República, Universitat de Barcelona.
[eng]In 1895, Spanish migrant Camilo Pérez y Pérez decided to settle in Asunción, capital of the Republic of Paraguay, and was responsible for encouraging international relations through the creation of the «Bank of Spain and Paraguay». He was also named Revista Comercial Iberoamericana Mercurio correspondent and «Casa de América» representative, both Americanist entities established in Barcelona. The project came to an end few years later after World War I, and correspondence is nowadays preserved in the Pavilion of the Republic at University of Barcelona.
