Conflictos de competencias entre la Generalitat y los estamentos catalanes en las Cortes de 1547

Abstract

Durante las Cortes de 1547 hubo un sinfín de conflictos entre la Generalitat y los Estamentos catalanes, el origen de los cuales acababa siendo siempre el mismo: dilucidar quién ejercía el verdadero control sobre la Diputación del General. Pero finalmente las tensiones quedaban desdibujadas y desaparecían a causa de la labor de los abogados de los Brazos en las Cortes. Las relaciones de estos juristas con ambas instituciones acaban constatando el creciente poder de la Generalitat ya a mediados del S. XVI. Abstract: During the Courts of 1547 there were endless conflicts between the Generalitat and the catalan Sectors, the origin of which always ended up being the same: to elucidate who exercised the true control over the Diputación del General. But finally the tensions were blurred and disappeared because of the work of the Arms lawyers in the Courts. The relations of these jurists with both institutions end up confirming the growing power of the Generalitat already in the middle of the 16th century.
