dc.description.abstractAn efficient approach to the bridged framework of the indole alkaloid ervitsine, featuring a ring-closing metathesis reaction from a 2,3-disubstituted indole followed by a vinyl halide Heck cyclization upon the resulting cycloheptene ring, is described.
