[spa]A finales del s. IV, el entendimiento y la confluencia de intereses entre la Iglesia y el Imperio ya es total. Como resultado de ello, los obispos gozan de una posición privilegiada y exclusiva que les permite emprender agresivas políticas anti-paganas en aquellas ciudades donde ejercen su episcopado. Ello se plasma, en una de sus múltiples facetas, en la cristianización de los templos más emblemáticos de sus comunidades. Este proceso, iniciado ya en el reinado de Constancio II e interrumpido por la política propagana de Juliano, constituyó una de las vías más importantes por la que la Iglesia vio acrecentar sus patrimonios.
[eng]At the end of the fourth century, the understanding and the confluence of interests among Church and Roman Empire was complete. As a result, bishops enjoyed a privileged position that allowed them to start a vigorous policy against pagans in those cities where they performed their bishopric. We can observe one of the different aspects of this policy in the christianization of the most emblematic pagan temples of christian communities. This process, initiated in the reign of Constantius II and interrupted by the Julian's pro-pagan attitude, constituted one of the most important ways by which Church increased its inheritance.
