Genderové nerovnosti v knihovnictví a informační vědě (LIS)

Abstract

Tento otevřený vzdělávací zdroj (OER) s názvem Genderové nerovnosti v knihovnictví a informační vědě (LIS) vznikl v rámci evropského projektu GEDIS – Gender Diversity in Information Science: Challenges in Higher Education. Cílem zdroje je představit současné výzvy a nerovnosti mezi ženami a muži v oboru knihovnictví a informační vědy a nabídnout inovativní přístupy k podpoře rovnosti, diverzity a inkluzivního akademického prostředí.

Materiál upozorňuje na přetrvávající systémové bariéry, které omezují kariérní rozvoj žen v LIS, i přes jejich převahu ve studijních programech. Prezentuje hlavní oblasti nerovnosti – výzkum a publikace, profesní role a evropský kontext – a propojuje je s aktuálními iniciativami Evropské unie, jako jsou zprávy She Figures.

OER obsahuje také podněty pro diskusi a otázky podporující kritické myšlení o genderové rovnosti v akademickém prostředí. Je určen především pro vysokoškolské vyučující a studující v oblasti knihovnictví a informační vědy, kteří chtějí lépe porozumět genderovým nerovnostem a aktivně přispívat k jejich odstraňování prostřednictvím vzdělávání a inovativních pedagogických přístupů.

Zdroje a doporučená literatura vycházejí z aktuálních vědeckých studií, včetně bibliometrických analýz genderových rozdílů v LIS a případových studií univerzit, které integrují genderovou a LGBTQ perspektivu do výuky.

This Open Educational Resource (OER) entitled Gender Inequalities in Library and Information Science (LIS) was created as part of the European project GEDIS – Gender Diversity in Information Science: Challenges in Higher Education. The aim of the resource is to present current challenges and inequalities between women and men in the field of library and information science and to offer innovative approaches to promote equality, diversity and an inclusive academic environment.

The material draws attention to the persistent systemic barriers that limit the career development of women in LIS, despite their predominance in study programmes. It presents the main areas of inequality – research and publications, professional roles and the European context – and connects them with current European Union initiatives such as the She Figures reports.

The OER also contains discussion prompts and questions to encourage critical thinking about gender equality in academia. It is intended primarily for university teachers and students in the field of library and information science who want to better understand gender inequalities and actively contribute to their elimination through education and innovative pedagogical approaches.

Resources and recommended readings are based on current scientific studies, including bibliometric analyses of gender differences in LIS and case studies of universities that integrate gender and LGBTQ perspectives into teaching. #GEDIS
