[cat] Segon intent parteix d’una història que em va explicar el meu pare, que narra el fracàs en la destrucció
del pont que uneix el nostre barri amb el centre de la ciutat de Valls. El pont el va intentar enderrocar
el bàndol republicà a les darreries de la Guerra Civil, com a mesura per dificultar l’entrada de les tropes
franquistes a Tarragona.
El projecte proposa una recreació històrica de l’intent frustrat d’enderroc, a partir d’un seguit d’accions
mínimes a l’entorn del pont i de diversos plantejaments, idees, estratègies i experiments en relació amb la seva destrucció. La deliberada ineficàcia de la intervenció busca tenir, en canvi, una eficàcia en el
pla simbòlic i en tant que forma de rememoració d’un esdeveniment històric fracassat.
[eng] Segon attempt begins with a story my father told me. It was about the failure in the destruction of the bridge that connects our neighborhood with the city centre of Valls. By the end of the Spanish Civil War, the republicans tried to demolish the bridge in order to difficult the entrance of Franco’s troops to Tarragona. The project proposes a historical recreation of the failed attempt of demolition by trying minimal actions around the bridge and different approaches, ideas, strategies and experiments related to its destruction. The deliverated inefficiency of the interventions tries instead to be efficient in a symbolic level as a form of remembrance of a failed historic event.
