L’any 2015, el Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya va publicar la sèrie mensual de precipitacions de la ciutat de Barcelona (1786-2014), una de les més llargues que hi ha a l’actualitat, gràcies a un bon esforç de climatologia històrica. Aquest fet, lligat a que la latitud de Barcelona fa frontera entre la influència del NAOi i del WEMOi, obre una línia de recerca força interessant per estudiar quin dels dos índexs afecta amb més intensitat a Barcelona i, a més, tractar de relacionar-los amb altres índexs pluviomètrics com el Coeficient de Variació (CV) i l’Índex de Disparitat Consecutiva (S1). Per això, es farà un anàlisi estacional i mensual any a any, dividint les sèries estudiades en subperíodes, i buscant correlacions entre la sèrie mensual de precipitació de Barcelona i els índexs de teleconnexió per tractar de determinar quin dels dos influeix més a la precipitació de Barcelona.
In 2015, the Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya has published the monthly precipitation series in the city of Barcelona (1786-2014), one of the longest that exist today, thanks to a great effort of weather history. This fact, linked to the latitude of Barcelona makes border between the influence of NAOi and WeMOi, opens a line of research very interesting to study which of these two index affect more intensely in Barcelona and also try to match them with other indexes of rainfall as the Coefficient of Variation (CV) and Disparity index Consecutive (S1). Therefore, there will be made a seasonal and monthly analysis year on year, dividing the studied series in sub-periods, and looking for correlations between monthly series of precipitation in Barcelona and teleconnection indexes to try to determine which of the two influences more in the precipitation of Barcelona.
