Abstract

[en] Sidbrint is an investigation portal of Barcelona University that collects information about International Brigades of the Spanish Civil War. This portal is a collaborative online platform that allow to researchers of all Europe to consult and incorporate new data. Usability problems have been reported on this portal by users who consult it, and also, this site is old and it doesn’t take advantage of new technologies to present data and results, so the intention of this project is to analyze the portal both at usability level and at structure level and improve the technologies used and the visualization of the user interface so that users can access easily to a complex digital environment. Two objectives are proposed: the first tries to fix the problems of the actual platform and the second tries to propose a new architecture for the site, with the consequent change of technologies and his consequences, from the analysis made. This project allows to work on diverse fields like user interface analysis, the analysis of requirements of the client ideas or the startup of a software project, both frontend and backend.
