Sobre resistencias temporales

Abstract

[spa] El siguiente proyecto Sobre resistencias temporales, ha sido elaborado a lo largo del Máster en Producción e Investigación Artística, por la Universidad de Barcelona, y en la residencia artística de la Fabra i Coats, con el objetivo de profundizar sobre la tensión existente entre el miedo al olvido, con el inevitable desvanecimiento gradual de los recuerdos con el paso del tiempo. Esta tensión es la que genera una resistencia que encuentra salidas a su materialización a través de diferentes objetos personales y registros. Tras haber tomado una serie de tejidos abandonados en la ciudad de Barcelona, fue que realicé una serie de piezas que buscan conectar, a nivel histórico, con el trabajo de las mujeres que han impulsado la industria textil y preservar su recuerdo, específicamente, las mujeres de la Fabra i Coats, y la Asociació Catalana de Puntaires.

[eng] The following project On temporary resistances, has been elaborated throughout the Master in Artistic Production and Research, by the University of Barcelona, and in the artistic residence of the Fabra i Coats, with the aim of deepening on the tension between the fear of forgetting, with the inevitable gradual fading of memories with the pass of time. This tension is what generates a resistance that finds outlets for its materialization through different personal objects and registers. After having taken a series of abandoned fabrics in the city of Barcelona, I made a series of pieces that seek to connect, at a historical level, with the work of women who have driven the textile industry and preserve their memory, specifically, the women of Fabra i Coats, and the Asociació Catalana de Puntaires.
