Les dues nimfes. Projecte d’un espectacle interdisciplinari a partir de L’Après-Midi d’un Faune de Stéphane Mallarmé

Abstract

[cat] El present treball estudia el poema L’Après-Midi d’un Faune de Mallarmé i la seva evolució en relació amb diferents disciplines artístiques. L’objectiu és el de crear una proposta d’espectacle multidisciplinari a partir de la lectura atenta i les consignes de diferents teòrics teatrals. La nostra hipòtesi es basa en la idea de tornar el poema al seu origen teatral i en la possibilitat d’interpretar-lo i reformular-lo a través de la literatura, la música i el llenguatge audiovisual. El nostre treball d’investigació comença traçant un recorregut al llarg de la tradició que succeirà aquesta obra i que la relacionarà amb altres arts: els noms clau d’aquests enllaços seran, a més del mateix autor, Debussy i Nijinsky. A continuació, el nostre procés creatiu s’articularà a través de la reflexió sobre els tres pilars de comunicació –autor, obra i lector–, entenent la lectura com a eina transformadora. La materialització de la proposta acabarà en un projecte a desenvolupar, més endavant, amb diferents professionals de cada sector: un monòleg que necessitarà una actriu perquè cobri vida, un guió il·lustrat que engloba el discurs videoartístic, el coreogràfic i el cinematogràfic i un minutatge musical que serà un esquema a completar per part d’un compositor. Finalment, el treball arribarà a la conclusió que, si bé podem reelaborar l’obra de Mallarmé i tornar-la a escena, com a autors, només podem oferir eines perquè l’espectador interpreti els símbols que se li presenten de la mateixa manera que ho hem fet nosaltres amb l’obra original.

[eng] The present work studies the poem L’Après-Midi d’un Faune by Mallarmé and its evolution in relation to different artistic disciplines. The aim is to create a proposal for a multidisciplinary performance based on a close reading and the theories of different theatrical theorists. Our hypothesis is based on the idea of returning the poem to its theatrical origin and on the possibility of interpreting and reformulating it through literature, music and audiovisual language. Our research work begins by tracing a path along the tradition that will come after this work and that will relate it to other arts: the key names in this relationship will be, in addition to the author himself, Debussy and Nijinsky. Next, our creative process will be articulated through the reflection on the three pillars of communication –author, work and reader– understanding reading as a transformative tool. The materialization of the proposal will end in a project to be developed, later, with different professionals from each sector: a monologue that will need an actress, a storyboard that includes video art, choreography and cinematic discourse and a musical timing that will be a scheme to be completed by a composer. Finally, the study will come to the conclusion that, although we can re-elaborate Mallarmé’s work and return it to the stage, as authors, we can only offer tools for the spectators to interpret the symbols presented to them just as we did with the original work.
