Fracàs escolar i joves en risc d’exclusió social. Anàlisi des d’un estudi de cas

[cat] El present treball de final de grau analitza se centra en investigar què origina i com afecta el fracàs escolar als joves en risc d’exclusió social a través de l’estudi de cas de la Fundació Marianao, una entitat de referència en l’àmbit socioeducatiu des d'una perspectiva comunitària. La finalitat del treball és comprendre els orígens i les afectacions del fracàs escolar des de la perspectiva dels professionals que treballen amb adolescents i joves en situació de vulnerabilitat. La metodologia utilitzada ha estat qualitativa, basada en sis entrevistes semiestructurades a professionals de l’àrea d’infància, adolescència i participació juvenil de la Fundació Marianao, així com una entrevista a una tècnica de gestió de la Fundació “la Caixa”. Els resultats mostren la manca de recursos i la rigidesa del sistema educatiu, l’impacte negatiu en l’autoconcepte i la identitat dels joves, la cronificació de l’exclusió i les limitacions en la coordinació entre agents socials. També es destaca el valor de les pràctiques socioeducatives comunitàries, la participació juvenil com a eina d’inclusió, i la necessitat d’una mirada amb perspectiva de gènere. El treball posa en relleu el paper clau dels professionals i el reconeixement desigual del tercer sector en l’abordatge d’aquesta problemàtica.

[eng] This dissertation focuses on investigating what causes and how school failure affects young people at risk of social exclusion through the case study of the Marianao Foundation, a benchmark institution in the socio-educational field from a community perspective. The aim of the study is to understand the origins and effects of school failure from the perspective of professionals who work with adolescents and young people in vulnerable situations. The methodology used was qualitative, based on six semi-structured interviews with professionals in the area of childhood, adolescence and youth participation at the Marianao Foundation, as well as an interview with a management technician from the ‘la Caixa’ Foundation. The results show the lack of resources and the rigidity of the educational system, the negative impact on the self-concept and identity of young people, the chronification of exclusion, and the limitations in the coordination between social agents. It also highlights the value of community socio-educational practices, youth participation as a tool for inclusion, and the need for a gender perspective. The paper highlights the key role of professionals and the unequal recognition of the third sector in tackling this problem.
