[spa] Breve estudio enfocado al análisis de la teoría de las áreas monetarias óptimas aplicada a la Unión Económica y Monetaria, haciendo hincapié en los criterios enunciados y desarrollados por el economista canadiense Robert Mundell. Fundamentalmente trataremos de verificar si se cumplen estos criterios y refutaremos o no la pregunta de si estamos viviendo en un área óptima económica y socialmente hablando
[eng] A brief study focused on the analysis of the Theory of Optimum Currency Areas applied to the European Economic and Monetary Union, with an emphasis on the criteria that have been formulated and developed by the Canadian economist Robert Mundell. Principally, we will try to verify if these criteria are achieved and we will reject or not the argument that we are living in a social and economic optimal area.
