Abstract
Este recurso educativo abierto (OER) forma parte del proyecto europeo GEDIS – Gender Diversity in Information Science: Challenges in Higher Education, cofinanciado por la Unión Europea. El OER “Videojuegos y género” presenta los principales desafíos, ventajas y soluciones vinculados a la representación de género en el ámbito de los videojuegos. A través de un enfoque educativo, analiza los estereotipos, la sexualización, el comportamiento tóxico y las desigualdades estructurales en la cultura del videojuego, al mismo tiempo que destaca los beneficios de la diversidad, la creatividad y el diseño inclusivo. Su objetivo es promover una reflexión crítica sobre la igualdad de género en los videojuegos y fomentar entornos de juego más inclusivos en la educación superior. #GEDIS #SummerSchoolBarcelona
This Open Educational Resource (OER) is part of the European GEDIS Project – Gender Diversity in Information Science: Challenges in Higher Education, co-funded by the European Union. The OER “Video Games and Gender” presents the main challenges, advantages, and solutions related to gender representation in the field of video games. Through an educational approach, it analyses stereotypes, sexualisation, toxic behaviour, and structural inequalities in video game culture, while also highlighting the benefits of diversity, creativity, and inclusive design.
