Abstract

The phenomenon of the second victim can have serious emotional and physical repercussions for the professional and can negatively influence the institution's culture of quality and safety. AIM: To determine the level of experience and support for second victims among nurses working in intensive care units in public hospitals in Chile and to describe the natural recovery trajectory of second victims among nurses working in these units.
