Abstract
[spa] La claudicación familiar es un tema de gran importancia a la hora de tratar a enfermos en situación paliativa y a su familia en el domicilio. Es por este motivo, que se ha generado un interés en valorar como se puede prevenir esta claudicación familiar y para ello, se ha elaborado un estudio de carácter cualitativo, para conocer cómo abordan los/as trabajadores/as sociales la claudicación familiar y su prevención en la atención paliativa domiciliaria. Los resultados obtenidos, demuestran la importancia de realizar una buena intervención social con la familia y el paciente a través de la contención y el soporte emocional, proporcionando recursos propios del trabajador/a social y externos.
[eng] Family Claudication is an important topic to take into account when dealing with palliative ill people and their family. For this reason, it is important to know how to prevent family Claudication. According to family Claudication, it is important to elaborate a qualitative study to know how social workers deal with this topic and its prevention in palliative home care. To sum up, the obtained results show the importance of doing a good social job with the family and the patient. It is possible through containment and emotional support, providing appropriate resources to the social worker and external workers.
