Resum

The materials, the tools, the machines ... they all speak for themselves. It is our duty as artists to recognize this merit and take advantage of it for the benefit of art. But ... what exactly is this intrusion allowed to the machines? All of them work to make our creations possible. Beneath their dust-and-rust housings hides all their magic. Nuts, washers, toothed wheels, pulleys ... and in many occasions pieces specially built for the occasion. And of course, all of them placed meticulously, respecting the order, pressure or distance to work in unison, as if it were a single piece. The work intends for the viewer to discover both the pieces and their operation within a system of gears. The purpose is to show the logic and genius of these procedures using the machines of my father, a blacksmith by profession, who has transmitted to me the value and beauty of all these mechanisms.
