[spa] El presente trabajo es el resultado de un estudio etnográfico efectuado en la comunidad Piaroa de Paria Grande, del Amazonas venezolano, orientado a describir y analizar los procesos de interculturalidad presentes en ese espacio multilingüe, tomando en consideración el papel que de manera general, juega la educación formal e informal en ese contexto y en forma específica el aprendizaje y usos de la lengua Castellana, examinados a la luz de la perspectiva de integración comunitaria y del paradigma etno-educativo, defensor de los valores culturales originarios y promotor del bilingüismo educativo, el multiculturalismo y la cogestión cultural en general.

This thesis is the result of an ethnographic study carried out in the Piaroa community in Paria Grande in the State of Amazonas in Venezuela, which aimed to identify and analyse the process of interculturality present in this multilingual environment. The study takes into account, in general, the role played by formal and informal education in this context and, in particular, the learning and use of Spanish seen from the perspective of the integration of the community and the ethnoeducational paradigm, analysing the native cultural values and promoting educational bilingualism, multiculturalism and co-management.
