Sistemas de gestión de contenidos en la gestión del conocimiento

Abstract

Since the second half of the 1990s, knowledge management has taken shape and has been firmly consolidated as a new discipline within the realm of organisations. The principal objective of this work is to determine whether content management systems (CMS) can become the most appropriate technological standard for consolidating this field. The article describes and analyses the major functions (publishing and exploitation) of these new systems. It then examines the field of knowledge management ¿what are the different types of knowledge that we can find within an organisational context¿ and then identifies and analyses the operations critical to managing it appropriately. The article concludes by evaluating the extent to which technological solutions provided by CMS can assist in properly implementing these critical operations.

Des de la segona meitat dels noranta, la gestió del coneixement s'ha anat gestant i consolidant amb força com una nova disciplina en l'àmbit de les organitzacions. L'objectiu principal d'aquest treball és avaluar si els sistemes de gestió de continguts (CMS) poden convertir-se en l'estàndard tecnològic més adequat per a la consolidació d'aquesta disciplina. Per cobrir aquest objectiu s'intenta caracteritzar i analitzar, en primer lloc, les principals funcions (d'edició i explotació) d'aquests nous sistemes. En segon lloc, s'intenta abordar la disciplina de la gestió del coneixement examinant, primer, quins són els diferents tipus de coneixement que podem trobar en el context d'una organització i identificant i analitzant, després, les operacions crítiques per a la gestió adequada d'aquesta tipologia cognitiva. I, finalment, s'avalua en quina mesura les solucions tecnològiques aportades pels CMS poden ajudar en la implementació apropiada d'aquestes operacions crítiques.
