[cat] Aquest treball vol determinar i analitzar els diferents usos de les coves al nord-est peninsular durant el Neolític antic. Aquests espais han estat considerats complementaris als jaciments a l’aire lliure que estructurarien el poblament. Les cavitats complirien una funció secundària. A partir de l’anàlisi de 28 jaciments, es determinen un mínim de cinc usos per a aquestes coves (funerari, hàbitat, estabulació de ramats, emmagatzematge i activitats productives secundàries), així com els patrons que es tenen en compte per a escollir aquestes cavitats, com l’altitud, l’orientació o les condicions d’habitabilitat. També es presenta la discussió científica sobre el paper d’aquestes coves en els patrons d’assentament al territori.
[eng] This work aims to determine and analyze the different uses of caves in the north-east of the Iberian peninsula during the early Neolithic. These spaces have been considered complementary to the outdoor deposits, and the latter would structure the settlement while the cavities would fulfill a secondary function. Based on the analysis of 28 sites, a minimum of five types of uses for these caves are determined (funerary, habitat, herd stable, storage and secondary productive activities), as well as the patterns that are taken into account to choose these cavities, such as altitude, orientation or habitability conditions. The scientific discussion on the role of these caves in settlement patterns in the territory is also presented.
