Resum
[eng] Violence is an incomprehensible social situation that unfolds in society. It is characterized by the intersection of factors and conditions that interact directly or indirectly. This phenomenon originates in various settings and environments where human life unfolds and manifests itself in different ways, including physical, verbal, and psychological violence. Violence can be expressed through force or the threat of causing physical trauma, harm, denial of freedom of expression, and even death. It is a problem that has become normalized today and has negative effects on people of various age groups. Its nature gives it a social characteristic that reflects different ways of acting, expressing, thinking, and feeling, affecting people individually or in groups. In this sense, violence is multifactorial and has a profound impact on those who experience it, causing harm of varying magnitude. In the family setting, it is defined as the deliberate application of physical force toward a person with some degree of kinship. This thesis analyzes the sociodemographic, familial, and social conditions affecting women in situations of domestic violence, especially in the context of the Colombian armed conflict. A comprehensive view from a socio-health perspective is proposed to understand the factors that perpetuate this phenomenon in a region marked by high levels of vulnerability. The study begins with a detailed analysis of the victims' sociodemographic conditions, such as age, educational level, employment status, and access to health services. These aspects allow us to understand the disparities and inequalities faced by women in Santa Marta, which contribute to their vulnerability to domestic violence.
