[spa] L’objectiu d’aquest treball és conèixer les principals rutes comercials que hi havia entre l’Imperi Espanyol i les colònies americanes en època moderna (s. XV- s. XVIII), així com els productes que eren transportats tant des de les colònies com des de la metròpoli. Presentar l’arqueologia subaquàtica i la metodologia usada en les excavacions en medis submergits, com un recurs per poder explicar fets i moments històrics inserits en un context molt més ampli que no el simple naufragi. Exemplificar el tema amb l’ajuda d’una excavació subaquàtica, ja realitzada als anys 1990, d’un derelicte (un vaixell enfonsat) al 1622, el Buen Jesús y Nuestra Señora del Rosario
[eng] The aim of this paper is to introduce the main trade routes that existed between the Spanish Empire and American colonies in Early Modern period (s. XV s. XVIII). Explain and the products which were transported from both, colonies and metropolis. Submit underwater archaeology and the methodology used in excavations in submerged environments as a resource to explain facts and historical moments embedded in a much wider context that not only the shipwreck. Illustrate the issue with an underwater excavation, which was carried out in 1990, of a ship sunk in 1622, Buen Jesús y Nuestra Señora del Rosario.
