[cat] El present Treball de Final de Grau (TFG), corresponen al grau d’Història de la Universitat de Barcelona (UB), pretén fer una immersió en la bibliografia editada del general Prim (1814-1870) en relació a la seva actuació al continent americà. Segons això, els àmbits bibliogràfics d’estudi s’emmarquen a Puerto Rico (1847-1848), el seu matrimoni amb Francisca de Agüero (1856), la labor diplomàtica a Mèxic (1861-1862), la visita als EE.UU. (1862) i la intervenció en el conflicte de Cuba (1869-1870). L’objectiu final és esbrinar fins a quin punt la historiografia s’ha interessat en aquests períodes de la vida del general, els aspectes més estudiats i les possibles mancances observades.
[eng] In the present Final Degree Project (FDP), which corresponds to the degree of History taught at the University of Barcelona (UB), it is intended to make an immersion on the published bibliography of General Prim (1814-1870) regarding his activities in the American continent. According to that, the bibliographic areas of study are framed in his Captaincy in Puerto Rico (1848-1849), his marriage to Francisca de Agüero (1856), his diplomatic work in Mexico (1861-1862), the visit to the US (1862) and, finally, his intervention in the conflict in Cuba (1869-1870). The final objective is to find out to what extent historiography has been interested in these aspects of General's life, his most studied points about him, and also the possible deficiencies observed.
