[cat] El treball tèxtil ha estat generalment atribuït al gènere femení, i malauradament moltes vegades, sense criteris científics. Aquesta atribució acrítica s’accentua en l’estudi de societats que manquen tant de registre escrit com d’iconogràfic. En aquest treball, amb l’ajuda de l’arqueologia tèxtil i l’arqueologia del gènere, intentarem identificar qui teixia al Complex Sant Jaume. Analitzades les possibilitats que tenim d’atribució sexual, ens acabarem centrant en la comparació etnogràfica.
[eng] The textile manufacturing has been considered a feminine work, unfortunately most of the times without scientific judgement. That’s emphasised in societies without writing or iconographic evidence. In this work, based on textile archaeology and the archaeology of gender, we are going to try to identify who weave in the Sant Jaume Complex. Analysed the different possibilities of sexual attribution, we are going to focus on the ethnographic analogy.
